Description
13" and 15" (33 and 38 cm). Mask-face dolls with
pressed printed features depicting little school
girl and boy, side-glancing large eyes, blushed
cheeks, she with yellow yarn braids, he with
auburn/brown curly hair, each with peach muslin
stitch-jointed body, she with red and white
stitched-on stockings, he with blue and white
stitched-on stockings. Excellent condition.
Marks: "Susie Q" (or "Bobby Q"), Madame Alexander
N.Y. (costumes and tags). She wears original
green felt suit with magenta collar, buttons and
trim, white felt spats, black felt shoes, red
paper purse-shaped tag, straw bonnet with cherry
and magenta trim; he with green felt jacket,
plaid cotton trousers and bow-tie, straw bowler
hat, white felt spats, black felt shoes, carrying
paper "4th grade reader". Each is contained in
its original box with illustration and stamped
model numbers 9/3100 and 9/3101. Circa 1940.
