Description
18" (46 cm). Hard plastic socket-head, large blue
glass sleep eyes, real lashes, painted side
lashes, closed mouth with bow-shaped red lips,
dark blonde hair in original factory coiffure,
five-piece hard plastic walking body. Near mint
condition. Marks: Madame Alexander (costume). The
doll is "dressed for the opera" according to the
1954 Alexander catalog wearing "bouffant gown of
heavy white satin caught up in a graceful drapery
with bright pink roses. Her full length opera
coat of Goya pink taffeta is lined and fastened
at the throat with a dashing big bow", along with
rosebud coronet, pink satin bag, taffeta hooped
petticoat, panties, stockings, ivory satin shoes.
