Description
18" (46 cm). Hard plastic socket-head with
Margaret face, blue sleep eyes, real lashes,
painted lower lashes, umber tinted eyeshadow,
auburn wig in original factory coiffure, five-
piece hard plastic walker style body. Near mint
condition. Marks: Madame Alexander (costume). The
doll wears "Picnic Day" costume comprising pink
polished cotton gown with leaf motif (described
in the 1953 Alexander catalog as "green leaves on
strawberry pink"), green and black ribbon banding
lace lace, yellow sash, muslin hooped petticoat,
panties, stockings, black strap shoes, straw
bonnet with flowers and black net ties, and hat
box with curlers and comb. Model #2001C, circa
1953.
