Description
20" (51 cm). Hard plastic socket-head, blue sleep
eyes, real lashes, painted lower lashes, rosebud-
shaped lips of closed mouth, dark blonde hair in
original factory coiffure, adult-modeled female
body. Excellent condition. Marks: Cissy by Madame
Alexander (costume). The doll wears original gown
described as the "long-stemmed look" in the 1956
Alexander catalog, of black velvet and tulle with
a "flared dŽcolletage, lined with pink satin. A
cluster of pink rosebuds at the shoulders and
deep flounce line are its only trimming. A gown
of great elegance." Along with black net
petticoat, panties, stockings, bright pink strap
shoes, Alexander-labeled hat box, ring, and
Fashion Award emblem. Model #2043, 1956.
