Description
14" (35 cm). Hard plastic socket-head, brown
sleep eyes, real lashes, painted lower lashes,
closed mouth, reddish-brown caracul wig, five-
piece hard plastic body. Excellent condition.
Marks: Mary Martin of South Pacific, Madame
Alexander New York (costume tag). The doll wears
original sailor costume embroidered "Mary Martin"
on the bodice, socks, shoes, cap, based upon the
character role played by Martin in the Broadway
performance. Circa 1950.
