Description
21" (53 cm). Hard plastic socket-head, brown
sleep eyes, real lashes, painted lower lashes,
closed mouth with richly shaded lips and cheeks,
reddish-brown hair in original factory coiffure,
adult modeled body with vinyl arms. Near mint
condition. Marks: Alexander (head), Shari, Madame
Alexander New York (costume). The doll wears
an "enchanted version of the short evening gown"
according to the 1959 Alexander catalog in which
she was presented; the unique facial model was
used for Shari Lewis doll only. The dress is of
gold lace with very full bouffant skirt, pink
sash with cascade of roses, imported braid trim,
gold necklace and matching bracelet, pearl
earrings, emerald ring, yellow taffeta slip,
panties, stockings, gold strap heeled shoes, with
original box. Model #2430, circa 1959.
