Description
8" (20 cm). All hard plastic with bent-knee
walker body, auburn hair in two generous curly
pigtails at sides of head, rosy cheeks. Excellent
condition. Marks: Alex (doll), "Americana"
(costume). The doll wears orange cotton gown with
pleated ruffle at hem and sleeves, tiny black
braid trim, petticoat, pantalets, blue and white
striped stockings, black one strap shoes, black
straw bonnet with pink flowers. The doll appeared
as Model #489 in the 1961 Alexander catalog
described as an old-fashioned girl dressed in
ante-bellum costumes.
