Description
17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features and hair, soft curls framing the face and forming into a deep forelock curl on forehead, shaded brown eyes, black and brown upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth, stitch-jointing at shoulders, separately-stitched thumbs, disc-jointing at hips, antique costume. Condition: very good, original finish albeit rubs on hair and cheek, body worn. Marks: Kathe Kruse Germany (feet, and illegible number). Comments: Kathe Kruse, Series I, circa 1915. Value Points: especially fine painting of eyes, antique folklore costume.
