Description
Although of small size, the stove was not
designed for child play, but was actually a desk-
top warming stove. Of cast iron, cylinder-shaped,
with turret-shaped top, the stove has kerosene
receptacle at the base with wick, hinged door
with original eisenglas cathedral window. The
stove is decorated with embossed
embellishments, "1883" above the door, and "A&W
MFG Co., Chicago" and various patent dates
(November 4, 1878, September 3, 1879, and October
