Description
The very fancy gas range has heavy steel frame
resting upon cast iron base, fancily embossed
opening cast iron oven door labeled "Superior",
extended-width nickel-plated (worn) range top
with fretwork warming shelf on one side and
closed warming oven with hinged door and fretwork
top on the other, two large gas burners, high
back with full width shelf and two warming
plates. The stove was designed to actually work.
Labeled "Kenton Brand USA". American, circa 1920,
Kenton, model #996, patented on November 9, 1915
and advertised as "a practical toy which burns
gas". 10"H. 12"W. 5"D.
