Description
Very heavy cast iron stove with box-shaped design
and unusual curved chimney construction at back
of stove, six-burner top with nickel-plated edge
and T-bar construction of plates, oval chimney
hole with slide-plate draft, flat-front nickel-
plated oven doors with raised panel at center of
each, the three doors are decorated with incised
geometric decorations and "Jewel Range" on
largest door, two opening grate doors at the
side, attached side hearth with silver-plated
edge and removable hearth plate, four cast iron
animal-paw-shaped feet. The stove is
labeled "Detroit Stove Works" on hearth plate,
and "Jewel Range Jr., Detroit Stove Works,
Detroit, Mich." on other side. American, Circa
