Description
An extremely elaborate cast nickel-plated
stove has six burners and lidded reservoir,
side hearth with embossed name "The
Queen", side-opening oven, shaking grate
with interior grill front and ornate door with
access to grate, warming shelf, ornate
chimney cover with two teapot shelves and a
tinplate chimney. The elaborately embossed
design features free-form scrolls and flowers,
and the front oven door is centered by a
copper-plated medallion portraying a
Japanese woman with straw parasol and
peonies. A superb and wonderfully preserved
early stove. American, circa 1890, Dent
