Description
20" (51 cm). Of untinted porcelain with rounded
facial modeling, full cheeks, slightly elongated
throat, short black sculpted hair in center part
with nicely-painted stippling around the forehead
sides. The hair is pulled backward behind the
fully modeled ears and is held by a gold head
band at the crown. The doll has large blue
painted eyes, red and black upper eyeliner,
single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed
mouth with center accent line, blushed cheeks.
The body is commercial Steuber style with sewn-on
red stockings and black leather boots, and the
doll wears a blue patterned silk dress with lace
collar, and undergarments. Circa 1885. From the
