Description
20" (51 cm). Of fine quality porcelain with oval
face and slender elongated throat, black sculpted
hair drawn loosely away from face, detailed
stippling around the sides of forehead, and three
horizontal rolls at the back of the head topped
by a gold decorative comb. The doll has blue
painted eyes with large black pupils, red and
black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows,
aquiline nose, closed mouth with center accent
line punctuated by dots at each lip corner, and
(newer) muslin stitch-jointed body with leather
arms. She wears green silk dress, undergarments
and leather shoes. Circa 1875. From the
