Description
19" (48 cm). Having pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with very delicate bisque and serene expression, almond- shaped grey glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eye sockets, mauve blushed eye shadow, lightly painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent lines on the pale and slightly downcast lips, pierced ears, and original blonde mohair wig over cork pate. The kid lady body has shapely torso, gusset- jointing at elbows, hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers. She wears an early sheer muslin gown with red silk edging on the triple- ruffled skirt and sleeves, and a red silk sash, tri-color straw bonnet with silk lining and red silk ribbons, undergarments, shoes. Included are three additional costumes, undergarments, and blue bonnet. Circa 1870, a portrait model by Pierre-Francois Jumeau.
