28" (71 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated facial modeling and very full lower cheeks, large amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted dark curly lashes, rose-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with richly-shaded outlined lips, impressed dimples at lip corners, philtrum and chin, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, lovely vintage rose and ivory silk dress, undergarments, bonnet, leather boots. Condition: generally excellent, there is a 1" faint line at right crown rim (possibly original). Marks: Paris Bebe Tete Depose 12 (head) Paris Depose (and Eiffel Tower symbol on body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1892, the model was presented contemporaneously with the Jumeau 200 series art characters and closely resembles the 233 model from that series. Value Points: gorgeous bebe with fine creamy bisque and rich decoration, original wig, pate, body and body finish.
