The doll wears a fine muslin gown of patterned mauve flowers and leaves, sous-sleeves, undergarments, leather shoes, early straw bonnet. Marked _10_ on shoulder plate. Circa 1867, from the original patent filed by Nicolas Joliet. His patent concerned a particular type of neck articulation requiring the slanted, slightly curved bisque neck cut that exactly fit the corresponding shoulder plate.
