19" (48 cm.) All-cloth doll with stitched-on head over muslin form, gusset crown seam line, flat-dimensional face with oil-painted complexion, facial features and shaded curly brown hair, outlined brown eyes with short-stroke brows, outlined nose, painted bow-shaped mouth, muslin stitch-shaped body, nice antique costume, undergarments, shoes. Condition: good, original finish albeit age-darkened, few scuffs. Comments: Emma Adams of Oswego, New York, whose doll was named the Columbian Doll after its award status gained at the Chicago 1893 International Exposition. Value Points: beloved American doll is wearing his original plaid costume.
