Description
15" (38 cm). Having a pressed bisque swivel head
on bisque shoulder plate, pale blue glass enamel
eyes, dark eyeliner encircling the eye sockets,
painted lashes and feathered brows, accented
nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between
the lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over
cork pate. The body is unusually shaped with
elongated torso to accommodate the slim-bodied
fashion gown, gusset jointed hips and knees,
wooden arms with dowel-jointing at shoulders,
elbows and wrists. The doll wears her original
pale green light-woolen fitted gown with
elaborate ruching on the skirt, bustle, train,
and rich forest green silk trim, undergarments,
stockings, shoes, straw bonnet. Circa 1870.
