Description
15"H (38 cm). Superbly constructed walnut tall
chest with rich natural finish has five drawers,
shaped corners, bead trim at base and crown,
bronze mounts at the corners, bronze keyhole
frames and pulls with elaborate detail. The
furniture was sold at the prestigious store
Maison Giroux, considered the most luxurious
of all Paris during the 1860 era. Circa 1865,
the original paper label of Maison Giroux is on
the underside of the cabinet.
