Description
Of lustrous black velvet, the two-piece gown features a full skirt with demi-train, fitted jacket that extends low over the hips and is edged with three bands of black silk edging. There is a 2" border of scalloped black lace at the jacket and skirt hems, and the jacket is fully lined with hook and eye closure at the front. The gown is accessorized by an enamel- backed faux-watch with porcelain face and brass fob and watch key. Appropriately sized for poupee about 13"-14". Circa 1868.
