Description
16" (40 cm). The bisque shoulder head lady with
oval face and elongated throat, light brown
sculpted hair waved away from face into deep
waves at the side of face, and clusters of curls
at the forehead and back of head, painted wide
head bands at crown and back of head, partially
sculpted pierced ears, blue painted eyes, red and
black eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented eye
corners and nostrils, closed mouth with center
accent line. The doll has an early handmade
muslin stitch-jointed body with leather arms and
sewn-on black boots, and she is wearing an early
calico dress with undergarments. Germany, circa
1870, unmarked.
