Description
23" (58 cm). White porcelain shoulder head doll
has oval shaped face and elongated throat, with
black sculpted hair drawn away from face and
tucked behind the ears, a braided coronet framing
the face, double-braid coils at the back of head
and long finger curls onto the back shoulders.
The regally shaped features include aquiline
nose, pale blue eyes with red and black upper
eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils
and primly shaped accented lips. The doll has a
twill stitch-jointed body and leather arms, and
wears a blue plaid silk gown, undergarments,
stockings and leather shoes. Circa 1870. From the
