Having a pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with Dehors patented system that allows the head to tilt forward and back, and side to side in addition to swiveling. She has blue spiral threaded eyes, dark eyeliner, lightly painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, ears pierced into the head, and brunette hand-tied human hair wig over cork pate. Her torso is very slender shaped of kid over wood, her upper arms are flesh-painted brass with dowel jointing at shoulders and elbows, and she has bisque lower arms and hands with individually sculpted fingers. The doll has wooden legs with dowel-jointing at hips and knees; there is a baggy pantalets style kid covering of the hip joints. She wears an early two piece gown with fitted jacket and pagoda sleeves, undergarments, coiffe, and leather shoes that are incised 'Au Bebe Bon Marche, 43 Rue de Rivoli'. Marked 'E.4.B.' on front shoulder plate, and original paper label indicating the shop from which the doll was sold, 'Au Musee des Enfants, 11 Rue de Tournon, Paris, Ci-devant Au No.4'. Circa 1870.
