Description
21" (53 cm). Having bisque swivel head on kid-
edged bisque shoulder plate with plump facial
modeling, full cheeks, well-defined chin,
grey/blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner,
painted lashes, richly blushed rose eye shadow,
arched feathered brows, pierced ears, brunette
human hair over cork pate. The poupee has a
French kid fashion body with shapely torso,
gusset-jointing at hips, shapely legs, stitched
and separated fingers. She wears an antique
maroon silk gown with brocade and lace detail,
matching bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes.
Marked _5_. Barrois, circa 1865, the doll is
notable for unusual and most appealing eye
shadow, cheek and chin blush.
