Description

13" (33 cm). The pale bisque shoulder head lady had plump facial modeling, cobalt blue glass enamel eyes, dark eyeliner, delicately painted lashes and brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, unpierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, kid fashion body with gusset jointing at hips, shapely legs, kid-over-wooden upper arms, bisque arms to above the elbows with cupped fingers, defined knuckles and nails (restoration to right hand and arm). The lady doll wears bronze green silk gown with plaid silk trim, undergarments, shoes, brown silk bonnet. Marked '2 Depose B'. From Barrois, circa 1865.
