13" (33 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head turned sideways, bald pate with tinted stubble, black sculpted tufts of hair at forehead and above the ears, ruddy complexion, thick furrowed brows, enamel eyes, closed mouth, two modeled warts, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted green wrinkled stockings and black shoes with red buckles, wearing black velvet silk-lined suit with short pants, silk vest, sash. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
