7" and 9". Each doll, has nutshell head with
painted black complexion and painted facial
features, each with wide beaming smile and
painted teeth, wrapped armature body, wrapped
brown boots. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: 44c ìTulsaî (paper label on girl).
Comments: American folk art, maker unknown, early
20th century. Value Points: imaginatively created
folk dolls with well-rendered faces, original
costumes.
