Description
17" (43 cm). Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-
edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and
shoulderblades, almond shaped brown glass
paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles
the eyecuts, painted lashes, brushstroked and
multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye
corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced
ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate,
French kid body with slender torso, kid-over-
metal upper arms, bisque forearms, Chevrot-hinged
kid thighs, wooden lower legs. Condition:
generally excellent, one finger broken at
knuckle. Marks: 7 (head) Bru Jne (shoulderplate).
Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, from the Chevrot
epoch, circa 1888. Value Points: very pretty
brown-eyed bebe with original body in firm clean
condition, antique sand silk dress with
featherstitch and lace, undergarments, silk
bonnet, leather shoes signed Bru Jne Paris.
