16" (40 cm). Bisque socket head with elongated full cheeks modeling, dark blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, painted lashes, mauve blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition fully jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, body is Steiner but of the period and appropriately sized. Marks: A. 7 T. Comments: Thuillier, circa 1885. Value Points: especially endearing facial expression enhanced by choicest quality of bisque, lovely wig, original body finish, antique pale green frock with ivory detailing, undergarments, ivory silk bonnet, knit stockings, leather shoes signed Modele Depose with brown silk rosettes.
