Description
5 1/2" x 5 1/2". A handmade wooden framed box
with glass front contains an assemblage of six
blocks each richly ornamented with an
encrustation of flocked paper cut into intricate
patterns and colors to depict three persons and
three floral arrangements. Similar framed
arrangements were popular in mid-19th century to
commemorate significant family events, but are
very rare to find. Good condition.
