Description
21"L. (53 cm). A dark wooded bed designed to fit
against a wall, with high head and foot board,
and rich carving detail on the exposed side is
constructed to fold flat. The carving includes
garlanded ribbed columns flanking two winged
cherubs that are holding a center medallion of a
womanís head in profile. The carving is highly
sculpted with gilt patina, with mattress and
(frail) silk brocade cover and pillows. Late 18th
century. Excellent condition.
