Description
4 1/2" (11 cm). Solid domed bisque swivel head
with sculpted brown baby hair having modeled
curls and forehead lock, tiny brown glass sleep
eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, tinted
brows, accented nostrils, open mouth with smiling
expression, two beaded lower teeth, tongue, loop-
jointed bisque toddler body with side-hip
jointing, painted white socks and pink one strap
shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:
847/11 (inside limbs) 11 (throat front).
Comments: "Bonnie Babe" designed by Georgene
Averill, the American artist, and produced in
Germany for distribution by the American firm of
Borgfeldt, circa 1925. Value Points: delightly
sculpted and produced all bisque toddler with
appealing expression.
