31" (79 cm). Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes that operate in unusual system from pull-string at back of head, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes with "dot" highlights, brushstroked brows with feathered and glazed highlights, accented eye corners and nostrils, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, brown woolen costume, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, hands repainted. Marks: 1249 Germany Santa Halbig S&H 14. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1895. Value Points: beautiful child model with accent dot in center of bottom lip, impressed chin dimple, unusual eye mechanism, splendid antique bonnet.
