16" (40 cm). Amber tinted bisque socket head, upper slanted narrow brown glass eyes, incised eyeliner, dark painted lashes, black brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, silk cap with long black mohair queue, amber tinted composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique silk costume with embroidered details, silk pants, slippers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 1199 Germany dep 6 (head) Liberty of London (original paper label on back). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1895, sold by the London fabric shop of Liberty of London. Value Points: especially fine quality of bisque, sculpting and painting, original body and body finish.
