Description
11" (28 cm). Wooden bookcase with fine quality
walnut finish has glass front door with brass
hook, shelved interior, ball feet. Inside is ten
miniature red faux-leather bound books with gilt
lettering, each from the series Le Petit
Bibliotheque. Six books detail the history of
France, two are about birds, two are about
animals. Each book has miniature hand-tinted
engravings of persons and animals. The books were
sold as a set with the bookcase and are very rare
to find intact. French, circa 1870.
