Description
24" (61 cm). Bisque socket head, painted blue
eyes with sculpted detail and very prominent
black pupils with white dot highlights, incised
and brown upper lashes, short fringed brows
with feathered highlights, defined nostrils,
closed mouth with accent lines around and
between the lips, brunette mohair wig,
composition and wooden ball-jointed body.
Condition: generally excellent, two fingers
broken. Marks: Germany A. 7 M. Comments:
Marseille, circa 1910. Value Points: extremely
rare character in wonderful large size has
superb detail of character sculpting including
defined temples, under-eye sculpting,
uniquely shaped rounded nose, dimpled
cheeks, high cheekbones, very fine quality of
bisque and painting, original body, antique
costume.
