Description
11" and 14". Each portrays an adult woman posed
on velvet covered round base, each with elaborate
mohair wig and painted facial features, with
stylistic pose to enhance the costume they are
displaying. Condition: generally excellent,
slight surface dust. Comments: Lafitte-Desirat
(ink signed on bottom base of woman with dog) La
Jarretelle (gold label on other). Comments:
Lafitte-Desirat, circa 1917. Value Points:
wonderfully created figures include woman pulling
on her black stockings, wearing laced corsest;
and woman in velvet checkered walking suit with
dog on leash.
