Description
9" Dwarves. 15" Snow White. Each dwarf has
one-piece composition head, torso and legs,
uniquely designed and painted facial features
to emphasize their character, such as droopy
eyes for Sleepy to upper glancing shy eyes for
Bashful, each with jointed arms and four
fingers on each hand, painted shoes. Snow
white has cloth mask pressed face with
painted features and complexion, black
mohair wig, brown side-glancing eyes,
painted curly upper lashes, outlined lips,
stitch-jointed oil-painted body. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: Walt Disney Co.
Knickerbocker Toy Co. (body of each Dwarf).
Comments: Knickerbocker, circa 1940. Value
Points: fabulous original condition of the
complete set, each dwarf with original velvet
costume, name emblazoned on cap, original
paper label with illustration; along with Snow
White in crisp taffeta skirt gown with velvet
bodice, red transfer pattern of the story
figures.
