18"H. (46 cm). A superb maitrise model miniature
secretaire has finest burled wood veneers, black
marble top, faux-marble columns with bronze rings
at the top and bottom, hidden drawer at the top
with bronze medallion that matches a similar
medallion at the bottom, three drawers with
bronze pulls and keyholes, drop-front that opens
to leather tooled writing surface and a seemingly
intricate cubicle interior that is actually one
drawer. Excellent condition. French, late 18th
century, a superbly made and preserved cabinet of
finest quality woods.
