20" (51 cm.) Each has bisque shoulderhead, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, long painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig, original kid body with stitch jointing, bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 377 (K inside six-point star) 8. Comments: C.F. Kling for Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1890. Value Points: pristine state of preservation of the rare pair, the boy and girl are each wearing wonderfully detailed and embroidered multi-layered traditional costumes from Varmland County of Sweden, the girl with original (illegible) shop label on torso under costume.
