Description
20" (51 cm). Pressed bisque socket head, deep
blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner
encircles the eyecut, lushly painted lashes,
brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented
nostrils, closed mouth with modeled space between
the outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair
wig over cork pate, original composition and
wooden fully jointed body with straight wrists,
bronze green taffeta dress with lace trim,
bonnet, leather boots. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Depose E. 9 J. (head) Jumeau
Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile
Jumeau, circa 1885. Value Points: superb deep
paperweight eyes with spiral threading enhances
the fine creamy bisque, original body and body
finish.
