Description
24" (61 cm). Bisque socket head with slightly
darkened complexion, blue glass paperweight inset
eyes, dark painted lashes, brushstroked and
feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth,
shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, brunette
human hair over cork pate, original composition
and wooden fully jointed body with adult female
shape, tiny waist, modeled bosom and rounded
derriere. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:
Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG (head) Bebe Jumeau
Diplome d'honneur (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau,
circa 1890. Value Points: rare body style is
enhanced by (partially original) Jumeau costume
of Spanish dancer including green velvet vest and
unusual green and ivory silk heeled shoes
marked "France", excellent bisque and original
body finish.
