Description
14" (35 cm). Bisque socket head, amber brown
glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral
threading, dark eyeliner, delicately painted
lashes, widely feathered brows, accented nostrils
and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips,
brunette mohair wig over cork pate, original
composition and wooden fully jointed body with
straight wrists, nicely costumed in antique dress
and undergarments, flannel coat and cap, leather
shoes with silk rosettes. Condition: generally
excellent, tiny rub on left cheek. Marks: Depose
E. 5 J. (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body).
Comments: Jumeau, circa 1885. Value Points: very
appealing size with gentle features, gorgeous
eyes, original body and body finish, antique
costume.
