17" (43 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged
bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and
shoulderblades, brown glass enamel inset eyes
with spiral-threading, painted lashes, incised
and painted eyeliner, brushstroked and feathered
brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, open
mouth, shaded and accented lips, pierced ears,
blonde mohair wig over cork pate, original
slender kid body with scalloped-edge collarette,
hinged thighs, wooden lower legs, bisque
forearms. Condition: generally excellent, nursing
mechanism is missing. Marks: Bru Jne 5 t (head)
Bru Jne No.5 t (shoulderplate) (original paper
label on torso) Value Points: Leon Casimir Bru,
circa 1886. Value Points: very pretty plump-faced
bebe with original signed body, perfect hands,
sturdy body, lovely antique silk costume, shoes
signed "Bru Jne Paris 5".
