16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, sculpted short brown curly hair with detail of forelock curl, blue intaglio painted side-glancing eyes, white eyedots, one- stroke brows, closed mouth modeled as though open and laughing, modeled tongue, row of four upper teeth and two lower teeth, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (in square) 8191 Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910. Value Points: delighted expression is achieved by well-modeled laughter lines around the eyes and mouth, unique mouth expression.
