eyes with heavily modeled eyelids, dark
eyeliner,
mauve blushed eyeshadow, painted lashes,
brushstroked and multi-feathered brows,
shaded
nostrils, closed mouth with defined space
between
the outlined lips, dimpled lip corners,
separately modeled pierced ears, blonde
mohair
wig over cork pate, French composition and
wooden
eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight
wrists, antique costume, bonnet, French
leather
shoes. Condition: generally excellent, early re-
varnish to body. Marks: 9 (head) Jumeau
Medaille
d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau,
circa
1884, the model known as "Jumeau Triste" in
reference to its sad expression. Value Points:
the smallest size of the Bebe Triste, extremely
rar to find in this size, has very beautiful
modeling and quality of bisque and painting,
original body.
