Description
24" (61 cm). Bisque socket head, amber brown
glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner,
lushly painted lashes, brushstroked and multi-
feathered brows with decorative glaze, shaded
nostrils, accented eye corners, closed mouth,
shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, blonde
mohair wig over cork pate, original composition
and wooden fully jointed body with adult female
shaping, modeled bosom, tiny waist, accentuated
derriere. Condition; generally excellent, very
fine small hairline at back crown rim. Marks:
Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG (and artist
checkmarks on head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris
(back torso). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1888.
Value Points: very beautiful creamy bisque, rarer
brown eyes, rarer body style with original
finish, original Jumeau undergarments and leather
shoes signed E.J., antique rose silk and lace
costume.
