Description
15" (38 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged
bisque shoulderplate with delicately tinted
bisque, patented neck attachment allowing the
head to tilt forward and from side to side, as
well as swivel, cobalt blue glass enamel inset
eyes, painted lashes, eyeliner, arched feathered
brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with
accented lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig
over cork pate, kid fashion body with shapely
torso, gusset jointing at hips, shapely legs, kid
upper arms, bisque arms to above the elbows,
separately sculpted fingers. Condition: generally
excellent, very faint line at upper crown rim of
forehead (1/2") appears original. Comments:

articulation was deposed in 1861. Value Points:
the rare poupee is presented in her original
French trunk along with an elaborate trousseau
comprising a superb blue silk gown with gold
tassels, another silk gown, two cotton fashion
gowns (one with cape), flannel day robe with blue
trim, partial folklore costume including cap, two
flannel capes, velvet cape, two vests,
undergarments including corset, hoop, two cotton
chemisettes, eight pantalets or petticoats,
sacque, two night shifts, lace chemisette with
sous-sleeves, linen apron, two fancy bonnets,
three caps, muff, two purses, handkerchiefs
embroidered C.M., heeled boots, parasol, watch,
snood, and hoop.
