23" (58 cm). Pressed bisque socket head, almond shaped brown glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, painted lashes, mauve blushed eyeshadow, narrow feathering of brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, defined space between the outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose- ball-jointed body with plump arms, hands and upper legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4. Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1877. Value Points: one of the first bebe models by the Jumeau firm with superb detail of sculpting and painting, original body in pristine condition, with antique raw silk mariner costume.
